GAS
Something that we can find in the majority of food products is the swelling of the packaging, which gives a very bad image to the consumer.
This can be detected visually in an obvious way on any shelf, and it happens due to microbial growth in the final product. Heterofermentative bacteria in this case, or yeasts grow and produce gases inside the packaging, making it look bloated. The product has fermented and therefore it is spoiled and should be avoided.
It could happen due to a break in the cold chain which you can’t control, or it suddenly starts occurring repeatedly in a product in which it had never happened before. Amerex natural preservatives solve this problem by controlling microbial growth. You can see it in the image below in a product exposed to extreme temperatures to speed up the process.
