{"id":14236,"date":"2025-02-03T10:05:25","date_gmt":"2025-02-03T10:05:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amerexingredientes.com\/blog\/amerex-se-suma-a-food-for-life-spain-y-presenta-sus-soluciones-en-conservacion-natural\/"},"modified":"2025-04-28T10:07:05","modified_gmt":"2025-04-28T10:07:05","slug":"amerex-joins-food-for-life-spain-and-presents-its-solutions-in-natural-conservation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amerexingredientes.com\/en\/amerex-joins-food-for-life-spain-and-presents-its-solutions-in-natural-conservation\/","title":{"rendered":"Amerex joins Food for Life-Spain and presents its natural preservation solutions in the Quality Working Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On <strong>31 January 2025<\/strong>, Amerex participated for the first time in the <strong>\u2018Quality, Production, Packaging and Sustainability\u2019 Working Group of the <a href=\"https:\/\/foodforlife-spain.es\/\">Food for Life-Spain Technology Platform (PTF4LS)<\/a><\/strong>, marking its official entry as a new member of this strategic network that promotes innovation in the food sector.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amerexingredientes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/PTF4LS.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-14265 aligncenter lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/amerexingredientes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/PTF4LS-300x128.png\" alt=\"Logo Plataforma Tecnol\u00f3gica Food for Life\" width=\"300\" height=\"128\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/amerexingredientes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/PTF4LS-300x128.png 300w, https:\/\/amerexingredientes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/PTF4LS.png 400w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/128;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During the session, <strong>Alejandro Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>, Technical Director of Amerex, gave a presentation entitled <strong>\u2018Natural preservation: ensuring quality and sustainability in food manufacturing\u2019<\/strong>, where he shared the company&#8217;s vision on how natural preservation ingredients can be a key lever for a more sustainable, safe and efficient production.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation addressed <strong>the application of natural polyphenols and protective ferments<\/strong> to extend the shelf life of food, reduce the need for additives, minimise waste and enhance nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>Projects developed together with universities, technology centres and other entities were also highlighted, with a <strong>clear focus on innovation, R&amp;D&amp;I, health and sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, a <strong>European Horizon 2020 project<\/strong> called <strong>UP4Health<\/strong>, which ended last <em>December 2024<\/em>, was reviewed. <u>The objective was to test polyphenols with antioxidant potential together with our protective ferments to maximise their action<\/u>. These polyphenols come from agricultural waste and the best results were obtained from olives. Tests were carried out on beef hamburger (sulphite-free) and cured sausages such as salami with promising results. The fruit of this project is the launch of <strong>Biamex Up4Health<\/strong> on the market in 2025.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amerexingredientes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Separata-UP4Health-Amerex-EN.pdf\">Download more info about UP4Health &#8211; Amerex (EN)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition, the <strong>FERMPROTECT<\/strong> approach was presented, a solution based on fermentative strains adapted to different food matrices, which contributes to reducing returns, increasing food safety and improving the positioning of the final product.
